Seh Ai denies aiming to "freeze" nation

The Pitak Siam group has never called for the country to be closed to outsiders but only wants to stop corrupt politicians, Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit said on Sunday morning.

Gen Boonlert, also known as Seh Ai, said this before launching convoys of vehicles in a campaign for the people to join the planned rally at the Royal Plaza on Nov 24 in a show of force against the government for turning a blind eye to acts of lese majeste, acting as a puppet of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and allowing corruption to become widespread without proper suppression.

He said he had never called for the country to be closed or "frozen" for a period, adding he only wanted to stop corrupt politicians.

D.13 "the Attorney Genaeral of course answers to the civilian minister who, because he is elected by the people has the ultimate say.
The justice minister is not elected by the people. The MPs and half of the Senate are elected by the people. The members of the cabinet (minister) are decided by the PM Yingluck S. and her brother in Dubai.
So the Attorney Genaeral has to follow the orders from the justice minister and PM. The Attorney Genaeral is not independent. In this system corruption will exist forever.
The members of the NACC and ombudsman are decided by the Senate.

#10, he gives the names of PT corrupted politicians to Dems and General Procurator and the names of Dems/Bhumjaithai corrupted politicians to Chalerm and General procurator. All with evidences, evidently. I think he talks about all the corrupted politicians, not only one side. But all we know that is just a pretext for an hidden agenda, some people want to take the power by an other way than democratic electios... because they cannot win the majority

D11: the AG of course answers to the civilian minister who, because he is elected by the people has the ultimate say

I assume the NACC and Ombudsman were appointed by the military and unelected politicians so we assume they feel unaccountable...

it will take several rounds of elected governments before all of the bureaucracy can be considered cleaned of the feudal patronage system and accountable to civilian democratic rule

It is too late for Seh Ai to clarify his own comments or modify his earlier statements. Everyone knows that he wants to grab power and close the country so as to install his own men to run the country. The fact that he has to correct his own comments proves he is just a front man who has now embarrassed his masters behind him.

The Attorney General comes under direct control of the justice minister, who is a politician. The Attorney Genaeral is not independent from the gov.
There are many cases in the past 15 months that show the bias of the AG to the gov. The NACC and ombudsman is different.

Inciting a coup to stop corrupt politicians?? Is this guy for real? You compile evidence against the corrupt politicians and prosecute them according to the law. I suggest this General stay home and stop digging his hole deeper. He is obviously a puppet of the elite.

Dis #5, think you got it all wrong. The AG, NACC, ombudsman are all independent agencies and not under the control of the Justice Minister. This is to ensure that there is a check and balance in the justice system.

D5: have you noticed that its the courts that have delayed, dismissed, etc, etc such cases?

why, because of pressure primarily military behind the scenes

rarely have we seen an AG or politician obviously involved

trust the elected politicians, they are accountable to the people,

    everyone else is not accountable.....

  • Discussion 6 : 18 Nov 2012 at 13.286

D5: the purpose of democracy is so that elected politicians that are in power through elections by the people should have the power

agreed that judges should be reliable but it is only elected politicians that can be held accountable to the people

so going to the AG for decision is in fact what happens in a democracy!!!!

its Thailands unelected politicians and other behind the scenes powers that are the root cause of the problems in Thailand... they are the ones that use propaganda to fool people and give Thai "democracy" a bad name!!!
