30 opposition MPs line up to grill Yingluck, three ministers

About 30 opposition MPs are lining up to grill Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and three cabinet ministers in the three-day censure debate which begins on Sunday, opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said yesterday.

The last two days of the no-confidence debate would be reserved for debating against Ms Yingluck alone while the first would be spent debating against Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung, Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat, and Deputy Interior Minister Chatt Kuldiloke in his former capacity as a deputy transport minister.

Mr Abhisit encouraged members of the public to follow the debate so that they would know how serious the government's failures and the corruption situation actually were.

All parties should set an example and turn in the corrupt ones in your own party and stop worry about the other guys. Honesty is the only party.

I doubt we will learn anything new. The Dems are just trying to waste the governments time so they can criticise them for not doing something they promised they would do. Since the PT have been in power you read about alot more drug busts involving police and other corrupt drug dealers that the Dems and the military failed to catch. There are corrupt MP's in all the parties and I hope they all recieve jail time. Thailand can change but, first we have to get rid of All the corruption as if we were color blind. No more thinking that your party is clean because it isn't.

Shouldn't this read "30 Democrat MPs" as everyone else has deserted the Democrats and sided with the government leaving the Democrats the only opposition. Final vote 153 Democrats, 347 everyone else. A total exercise in futility for the opposition.
