Army group defies protest ban

- +

Four army privates are in trouble after defying senior military commanders by supporting today's Pitak Siam rally.

The soldiers, who call themselves the "Pitak Siam Military Group", posted on Thursday photos and messages of support for the anti-government protest on a Facebook page named "Khonlamad (trading punches) The Series".

But activity on the group's Facebook page was suspended about 1pm yesterday, and one member who had been in contact with the Bangkok Post was unreachable by mobile phone last night.
