Poll: People back use of ISA

More than 60% of people polled support the government’s decision to invoke the Internal Security Act (ISA) in three districts of Bangkok, according to Suan Dusit Poll.

The cabinet on Thursday invoked the ISA in Phra Nakhon, Pomprap Sattruphai and Dusit districts of Bangkok, effective from yesterday until Nov 30.

Pollsters from Suan Dusit Rajabhat University surveyed 1,017 people in Bangkok on Friday and Saturday, seeking their opinions on the use of the ISA to maintain order during the Pitak Siam anti-government rally that began saturday morning.

Disc11 Android - as I have requested on innumerable occasions - name a single successful Peua Thai policy.
I've messaged you, I've asked in fora, I've asked all the Red supporters on here... I've even promised to pay 1000 baht to UDD if you can name one... but all to no avail.

So now I ask... If you employed someone and for 16 months they achieved nothing, would you continue their employment? Even worse... what if they did LESS than nothing? What if they lost your company 10 BILLION dollars on ONE deal? Yeah... that's what I thought... (crickets chirping)

#6 - only 32% of eligible voters cast votes for PTP. They didn't even manage to get a popular majority out of those that did bother to show up and vote. Doesn't sound like a mandate to me. Sounds like a loud, well-funded minority.

Discussion 10 bob : The 2011 general election result generates a sour grape feeling for thaksin-haters. Yet this poll result further brings another sour grape discouragement to these haters.

Android, go study statistics, you cannot generalize even the simplest of comment from such research. I guess you can, but the real world cannot. Without statistical tests, such research mean nothing, and even so, they need to explain their methodology. Take this from someone with a 20 year career in market research and statistical analysis. Nonsense for headlines.

When will the Dusit or ABAC polls EVER go and study statistics?

You cannot report any numbers if you don't report some level of significance. Thus, the outcome of this poll is that it could be 50/50, either way.

Red Shirt villages explains a lot about the division created by this political wrangling. People need to stop seeing color.

Besides the 2011 general election results, even an ordinary poll survey result has revealed what majority of the thais want in their country.

You will always have problems if you bring red shirt polices to a ant Government rally like they have done
