Poll: People back use of ISA

More than 60% of people polled support the government’s decision to invoke the Internal Security Act (ISA) in three districts of Bangkok, according to Suan Dusit Poll.

The cabinet on Thursday invoked the ISA in Phra Nakhon, Pomprap Sattruphai and Dusit districts of Bangkok, effective from yesterday until Nov 30.

Pollsters from Suan Dusit Rajabhat University surveyed 1,017 people in Bangkok on Friday and Saturday, seeking their opinions on the use of the ISA to maintain order during the Pitak Siam anti-government rally that began saturday morning.

My wife dislikes PTP intently, but she hates being stuck on a bus home for four hours, and feeling scared to leave work even more. All she, and I suspect many other Thais, want is to have a country that she can be proud of, where our family can live in peace and prosperity. She has long since stopped seeing colour. All she sees now are endless mobs of Thais fighting other Thais and each group that starts the rioting and fighting and destroying saying that they're different and justified because they're doing it for Thailand, when really they're just fighting and rioting and destroying.

So 75% were either for the ISA or were confident the police could handle it. and 25% of the Democrats are as usual unhappy.

Again the sample is very very small, so really no notice can be taken of this poll, 0.000014% of the population.

One of these days the BP will actually post the questions and multiple choice answers so that we can see if they are skewed one way or another.
