BJT votes for Yingluck

The opposition Bhumjaithai Party supported Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in the no-confidence vote on Wednesday but has denied claims it did so because it wants to join the coalition government.

Supachai Jaisamut, a BJT list MP, said the party's different decisions in today's vote were based on information presented during the censure debate.

BJT has 34 MPs - 27 in its main faction and seven in the Matchima faction. Of the 27, only 24 can perform their duty in parliament as three others have been suspended with legal problems over their qualifications.

#6, you can't compare the Switzerland to the others. It's a system unique in the world, already because Switzerland is a confederation. The executive is elected by a federal council. The judiciary power if assured by the federal Tribunal. for At less 4 times by year, the people vote about the laws. It's not a "share of ministries". The alliances are normal in democracy. The BJT joined the Thai coalition in 2008 (some say " sold their soul to the devil to to share the cake), it don't mean it is married for life with the democrats. Yourself show, in your comments and words, that the Switzerland system is impossible in Thailand.

This is 1 of many reasons why the democratic system is dysfunctional in Thailand. Every party wants to be in the gov. Only the Democrat are in the opposition. The BJT-party will sell their soul to the devil to get a slice of the big money cake. They should find a formula were every party incl. the Democrat get a share of ministries like in Switzerland.
Then everybody would be happy. That woul be a unity-government.

Looks like things for BJT on the yellow side have been a little lean this year. Both the REDS and the YELLOWS now have something in common....they all hate the BJT. But you never know in Thai politics when you might have to sleep with the enemy. The majority party will have a 70% vote in their favor on most issues and the DP only 30% so you can see why they are so desperate.

At the time of voting for Yingluck, BJT members were missing the money they could have made if they were in coalition with PT.
