Disc 40 - I said his case, IE the land case, was definitely politically motivated to the point the Junta changed the law and then used it retroactively to find him guilty. Are you saying that that's proper procedure to target Thaksin but not proper if it targets your side?

I personally believe Thaksin was highly abusive of his power while PM and his conviction was totally justified and is justified in several other cases.
This case tests the rules of warfare back to the beginning of time. If Abhisit is convicted, then every leader through the history of the world that ordered a soldier to do his job and collateral damage resulted would be guilty of murder.
The main difference between this case and Thaksin's is that Abhisit is cooperating and acting like a MAN, not running away.

ricefield - so you honestly believe that Thaksin did not abuse his power? In the case he was convicted of, in the pressure on EXIM to loan 5 billion baht to Burma to buy Shin satellites, in changing laws that favored AIS concessions to the tune of billions of baht. You honestly believe Thaklsin did no wrong?

Disc 36 - Yes, I feel Thaksin's case was politically motivated, as I do this pending one. Difference is I, as in personally, will admit both are politically motivated something your side is not willing to accept. So I find that comical, yes indeed. When the shoe is on the other foot it has now become outrageous and politically motivated from your perspective.

In any armed conflict there can be collateral victims and collateral damages. So the death of the taxi driver cannot be naively categorized as a murder. Also, no red shirt witness will tell what exactly he was doing there? This is the same story of why no red shirt witness wants to speak about the men in black?

Discussion 33 Ricefield : Don't the Thaksin's supporter use the same language in support of their hero? From what I know, you have been an ardent fan of Thaksin and the red movement and tracking all your posts in BP, they all seem to point to one thing ..... Thaksin is innocent and should be reinstated. So why do you now find it 'comical' that the AV's supporters are doing what you and your comrades have been doing all these while?

These are Ma'am's own words "announcing the use of the Internal Security Act BE 2551 (2008) (ISA)..."Public gatherings and protests, especially those arising from public grievances, is provided for and protected by the Constitution. But such public gatherings must be peaceful, without the use of weapons, and within the boundaries of the law". ..."But if a large number of people is mobilized by incitement, led by those who seek to overthrow an elected government - which is against the Constitution - and there is evidence that violence may be used to achieve those ends, then this is a case of national security. Thanks Ma'am, very clear.

D33 : I also find two things here comical. One is you compare executions without trial of some 2500 alleged petty drug dealers, the suffocation to death of already arrested, piled up peaceful protesters to a crackdown on a partly armed mob, hired to cause bloodshed for political and personal gain. Secondly that you claim Abhisit supporters use the exact same language and excuses that you used when your idol was charged, convicted and sentenced.

I find two things here comical. One is that the guy Abhisit installed, Tarit, over the objections of everyone is the guy heading the investigation against him. Secondly all the Abhisit supporters are using the exact same language and excuses that Thaksin supporters used when he was charged.
