Abhisit, Suthep face murder charges

Former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and his former deputy Suthep Thaugsuban will be charged with premeditated murder over the death of a taxi driver during the 2010 Bangkok violence.

Phan Khamkong was shot dead during the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) protests and violence in April and May of 2010.

    "The Criminal Court recently ruled that Phan, the taxi driver, was hit and killed by bullets shot by soldiers performing their duty at the order of the Centre for the Resolutions in the Emergency Situation (CRES)."

    That would mean that the CRES issued an order to shoot unarmed people. Is that realy the case?

    How can there ever be a murder charge against a leader of state who wants to protect his citizens against the terror attacks of a group of terrorists financed from abroad????
