Deposed former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra appeared on state-run Channel 11 TV last night, presiding over a muay Thai event commemorating His Majesty the King's 85th birthday.

Ousted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra appears in a live broadcast on Channel 11 as he presides over a Thai boxing contest in Macau.

The tournament, titled Muay Thai Warriors, was broadcast live from a makeshift area in a hotel in Macau.

Twisted words from the master manipulator Thaksin. The coup did not lead to his convictions : his corruption and abuse of power did.

Jumping bail and being on the run from a prison sentence is not 'self exile'.

Thaksin said his Majesty remains the heart and soul of the nation and he never relinquished his loyalty (to the king). If you mean what you said why don’t you tell your red shirt troop to stop insulting the monarchy?

Free national TV is paid by taxpayers. The director , who allowed a fugitive convicted criminal to address the nation , must be fired immediately. It is one scandal after another.
