Red-shirts gather at Bonanza

A large number of red-shirt activists began gathering on Saturday at the Bonanza resort near Khao Yai to voice their support for constitutional change.

The members of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship also intend to express their opposition against a possible military coup now that the Pheu Thai government is moving ahead with a referendum on rewriting the 2007 charter.

UDD co-leaders including Jatuporn Prompan and former prime minister Somchai Wongsawat are scheduled to give speeches on the rally stage later in the evening.

The Military must not change the constitution in a self‐serving manner without the opinion of the public.

The Military must not justify a coup d'état with putting forward a far‐fetched argument for regaining their political power.

The constitution court must become a fair-court and a neutral under the democracy in Thailand. It is a real constitution court in the world standard.

The more press and media coverage these events receive, the more they will propogate and flourish.
Same goes for the terrorist situation and related violence.
Leave them alone, forget about them, stop giving them public notoriety (exactly what they want) and they'll very soon get bored and quit.

Amazing how 700 police can be deployed to this area however they cannot deploy to the South.....

Thailand, happiest country in Asia!? They sure know how to party and celebrate come the holiday and New Years! Seems the Red Shirt, Pheua Thai and Thaksin philosophy is, “If things begin to go smoothly, create a problem and societal friction". Anybody who sees a bright future for Thailand, please tell me what you base it on? All I see is a country bent on destroying itself from within with the only outside help coming from one man. Pretty weird!
