NACC: Pongthep richest minister

Education Minister Pongthep Thepkanchana and his spouse had declared assets totalling 2.92 billion baht, making him the richest cabinet minister in the Yingluck 3 cabinet, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) reported on Monday.

The NACC this morning disclosed the assets and liabilities of the ministers under the Yingluck Shinawatra administration, after 23 new ministers have taken offices since November 1.

The second richest is Deputy Interior Minister Pol Lt-Gen Chat Kuldilok, with assets of 1.14 billion baht.

Thaksin/PTP help the poor ? No, they just gave 5 % tax cut to the very rich instead of taxing them more to enable a redistribution of wealth. Once again Thaksin gives crumbs to the poor while he and his clan enrich themselves.

'You can fool all of....' It will backfire on them when people wake up to their lies, greed and selfishness.

This is why PT and police go hand in hand, each scratching the other's back. PT nevers says anything when police corruption is mentioned.

D4: With all due respect, you're either being facetious or new to Thai politics. The former prime minister (sometimes called fugitive) is a billionaire in USD and he was only a police Lt-Col.

If someone is already so rich that he/she does not have to work anymore then I think there are basically only two reasons why this person would still work. Reason 1 is that the person is enthusiastic i.e. about education and that he thinks his knowledge will help the country. Reason 2 is that the person thinks we will get considerable richer with the work. Looking at the current parliament (and many before) I think we will all agree that there are not many people who work for reason 1. And their salary is definitely no reason for reason 2. So if they are not qualified and don’t work for the salary why else would they work?

These declarations do not include monies/properties/shares possibly parked outside of the country and/or placed for safe keeping with their children or very “close relatives”. What about the “poor rich’ people like the red-shirt ministers in the PT government? As for deputy ministers with declared assets of 3 – 5 million baht, better double check them again because no Thai politicians worth their salts has such “low returns”, an insult to our intelligent.

Don't forget that is what they admit to or what has been uncovered. The other point is on whose backs have these people made there billions. They seem willing to spend other peoples money hand over fist
and yes they are in power it would appear for one reason and we know what that is.
