Abhisit's military appointments revoked

Defence Minister ACM Sukumpol Suwanatat on Wednesday signed an order formally revoking former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's former military appointments for draft dodging.

Under the order, the Defence Ministry's order appointing Mr Abhisit an instructor at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, and another order making him a commissioned officer, are revoked.

A Defence Ministry source said the order had been sent to Mr Abhisit's house for him to acknowledge.

BKK-Farang. Thank you for proving my point.

And another thing to say is that I can't help seeing this as a silly tit-for-tat revenge tactic from Dubai, except all the 'politically motivated' charges against Thaksin are backed by some pretty damning and credible evidence showing serious lapse in ethics on major national policy issues, meanwhile the 'politically motivated' charges against Abhisit are all petty paperwork, or vague connect-the-dots from a blatantly partisan DSI. But in the eyes of the masses the two are likely judged as equal. Clever but depressing the level we've sunk to.

@Duke #33: Do you really want to compare Abhisit’s alleged wrongdoings with Thaksin’s crimes which are already confirmed by the highest courts? And have you any idea how much evidence exists to convict Thaksin of all the other alleged crimes which can’t be prosecuted now because Thaksin is fleeing from the law since many years – another crime? Or would you also compare a squirrel with a shark? Get real!

Good! This symbolic (but justified) move will make the boys in green think twice installing yet another puppet regime or any other kind of meddling in politics. You can put a sweet ofxord face on it, but the majority of people in thailand are awake. Stick to defect GT200 bomb detectors and dodgy submarine deals! Anyway, Khun Suthep, what is our next move?!?!

It's the same old song and dance by posters here: Abhisit can do no wrong, Thaksin can do no right. Pathetic.

Thailand is a country for all peoples. ...not only the privileged classes.
The constitution 2007 rewritten by the Military is null and void under the democracy of Thailand.

A give‐and‐take mutually advantageous relationship between Abhisit Vejjajiva and the Military was emerged through this incident. Why the Military always has protected him ?? Why the constitution court has protected his part until now ?? What happened in underground of Thailand ?

    Sorry, correct the above comment.

    >>We must believe a person who appointed and recommend by the Military.

We must believe a person who appointed and recommend by the Military. What is the Military's purpose ?
Why a member of the Upper House has not the general-election ?? Which organization appoints members of the Upper House until now ?? Thailand needs the Upper House ??

What is the Military's purpose ? Do you understand What happened at the backstage of Thailand ? Wake up !!
