Abhisit's military appointments revoked

Defence Minister ACM Sukumpol Suwanatat on Wednesday signed an order formally revoking former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's former military appointments for draft dodging.

Under the order, the Defence Ministry's order appointing Mr Abhisit an instructor at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, and another order making him a commissioned officer, are revoked.

A Defence Ministry source said the order had been sent to Mr Abhisit's house for him to acknowledge.

Disc 26 - This was a military issue and there is no statute of limitations.

Mr. Sukhumpol and Tarit for that matter seems to think there is no tomorrow. Mr. Abhisit cannot be charged due to the statue of limitations, so lets make lots of noise to confuse everybody and please do not ask any questions about the South, that would be awkward, for that is the most pressing duty of the defense minister....... who happens to be the same ACM Sukhumpol. Well done sir, .... not really, actually anubaan level thinking.

It's good news and an excellent precedent, but only if a few members of the current cabinet are treated to the same well deserved public disgrace.

True to form, PTP has to continue their witch hunts and immature "revenge" tactics. And facts_only, the documents have never been proven to be fraudulent. Your version of the "truth" gets quite old and you have no desire to know the real truth, only the truth as reds see it.

    Many questions – few answers.
Two more questions: Is Abhisit’s military service of any importance now? Are there not at least 1,000 more important issues to be done for the current government?

bike 9, and 2, 5, 17: It is not an issue of missing documents. No one has made any claim of missing documents, neither AV, PTP, nor the military. It is an issue of fraudulent documents.

When Charlerm's sons were found guilty of draft dodging and expelled from the Thai police, the press was shown the actual proof. Has anyone seen proof of the charges against Abhisit? Or is that different?

Disc 9. Bikeme to answer your querry, no I could not show those documents myself and I doubt most people could but the company may have records and in this case obviously the military has records hence the DM charges. Question is how hard is it to prove even without records.

I see it as a witch-hunt,envy or both. Can BP find the defense ministry's background? 25 years is long enough for people to lose the documents unless those papers are terribly important and sentimental to the keepers. Back off Mr. Minister! the deep south is burning. Do somthing about it.Put your top priorities in the right place.
