Abhisit's military appointments revoked

Defence Minister ACM Sukumpol Suwanatat on Wednesday signed an order formally revoking former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's former military appointments for draft dodging.

Under the order, the Defence Ministry's order appointing Mr Abhisit an instructor at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, and another order making him a commissioned officer, are revoked.

A Defence Ministry source said the order had been sent to Mr Abhisit's house for him to acknowledge.

You know the work you did 25yrs ago,? Well! eh! You didn't do it 'cause we say so! And because you didn't do it we paid you wrong! Eh! Can we have the money back? Statue of limitions? Eh! Did it matter that we wasted our time researching all this old rubbish? Well at least you can't call yourself 'a commissioned officer' anymore...What! he doesn't use the title in everyday conversation? Everybady calls him "MP"? oh!

For reconciliation reasons it is also time to strip a certain fugitive criminal of his police rank…

The word reconciliation is just a dream, this word is out from their mind, what is obviuos is vengeance

And they want reconciliation...this is becoming so ridiculous. When you get the power it does not mean you have to depreciate everyone having a different opinion of yours, they are not ennemies they are Thais too but with a different minding. We can see where their agenda is going : with all their moves against the Democrats and lately with the alleged offenses against the Bangkok's governor...they want absolute power and no opposition...single party running the country the way they want...anyone talking different will be pursued one way or another...hope there are still many Thais against dictatorship when times come to vote again .

Politics is just a game for the crazy but moneyed people. Ordinary people like me will not understand what those politicians have in mind. Politics will never be fair enough to the majority, people in the positions are always favored.

@Birdie #10: I guess you are right. Imagine if you would be in Abhisit’s role and you would have lots of money: Would you spend that money to make sure that no one thinks you dodged the draft decades ago? I guess Abhisit and the Democrats won’t lose one single voter after this action by the Shinawatra government. But maybe a few people will finally see that the priorities of this government are way off. There is so much to do in Thailand but they concentrate on the military draft from one person decades ago - pathetic!

I don't know who to congratulate first! AV for being the only one in 64 million Thais to be found as a draft dodger, or, the DM for finding AV as the only dodger!! Immaturity at its best, DM surely you have better things to do? Maybe defending Thailand's southern border would be a good start!

Money speaks louder in Thailand to the extend that incapable people are holding offices. Well, Abhisit's pocket is not deep enough to feed all these lackeys or boot lickers of Thaksin.

D2 genii - Can you produce the documents you used to apply for a job 25 years ago? The only reason Sukumphol can pull off this childish retaliation is because he and the dear leader know that Abhisit no longer has those documents. Got to wonder if Sukumphol and the dear leader could produce their documents from back then?

Well I guess that make the DM feel powerfull today
