Pongsapat clears himself with EC

Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen on Wednesday submitted related documents to the Election Commission to clear himself of an allegation that he had a record for stealing a radio while studying in the United States.

The alleged theft occurred in 1980 while he was studying criminology in the US under a scholarship.

Pol Gen Pongsapat said the Royal Thai Police Office investigated this matter in 2000 and found the allegation was not true.

There is either a physical record in the USA or there isn't. It has nothing to do with whether his own policemen cleared him or not. Under the "Freedom of Information Act" the BP should request a copy of his arrest record in the USA and post it.
