Democrats roll out campaign plans

The Democrat Party has rolled out a three-point campaign strategy which it believes will help its candidate for Bangkok governor to win the March 3 poll after an Abac poll on Friday put Pheu Thai Party candidate Pongsapat Pongcharoen in the lead.

Democrat campaign manager Ong-Art Klampaiboon on Sunday said the strategy was designed to draw more support from undecided voters for MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra after the results of the Abac opinion poll put Pol Gen Pongsapat ahead of the pack on all measures gauging the popularity of candidates.

Recreating the electric trams was considered in the 1980s, before the traffic jams. It was dropped then as impractical and costly. So how is it any different now when traffic makes it even more impractical?

The only good reason to support the incumbent Governor is to prevent the Shinawatra administration from having another cog—in the person of yet another Shinawatra-friendly cop—added to the police state apparatus that Pol Lt Col Thaksin, his proxy and associated minions have been busy deploying since they came to power.

The Democrats were the first to know the election date and the last out of the starting gate. The Democrats should have had their policy platform in place before the governor was out of office. This is one reason the Democrats have always been the second party.

The tram will boost tourism so can charge farang price to pay for free bus. How this tram to make its way through Bangkok traffic? You expect Thais to give tram right of way. No such thing. I think stuck long time go very slow. Nobody ride, then have to make free. 55555
