Pongsapat: Free school buses, too

- +

Pheu Thai Party candidate for Bangkok governor Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen promoted a policy of free school bus services in outer suburban Bangkok, while his Democrat Party rival MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra explained his flood prevention plan to people living in the eastern part of the capital on Monday.

Pol Gen Pongsapat said while campaigning in Klong Sam Wa district on Monday that there were not enough buses available for students travelling to schools in the suburbs, and fares in passenger vans were a pricey alternative.

He said his proposal would be operated on the same budget as the free bus service and be implemented in marginal areas of Bangkok and five bordering provinces.
