Dems want Pongsapat probed over car deal

The Democrat Party is taking aim at Bangkok governor candidate Pongsapat Pongcharoen over a 10 billion police car lease deal he signed.

Democrat list MP Watchara Petchthong will ask the Royal Thai Police Office to look into Pol Gen Pongsapat's signing of a 10-billion-baht deal to lease police cars when he was the deputy police chief.

    What? As well as the alleged "borrowing" of the electrical equipment over in Texas. Pongsapat has been a busy boy. Being governor will allow him to channel his energy in a more positive way.

    D1, 2 & 3: you're naive to think there isn't similar dirt going on from the Peua Thai camp, starting back during the floods, through to the stadium debacle, if this guy is a policeman I doubt he is 100% clean. Personally, I find it surprising (depressing even) that a candidate from one of the more shameful govt departments, without any administration experience and nominated by a party that tacitly had a hand in then siege of Bangkok, should be 10 points ahead in polls. Something seems really wrong considering this is a Dem stronghold and now more than ever they would not vote for a PT candidate.
