Rival parties swap threats of legal action

The Bangkok governor race has turned ugly with the two main parties exchanging legal threats.

Pheu Thai Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit said he would discuss with party lawyers a possible petition to the Election Commission (EC) seeking the prosecution of Democrat Party list MP Watchara Phetthong for mudslinging against Pheu Thai candidate Pongsapat Pongcharoen.

Mr Watchara had asked the House committee on police affairs to probe a 10-billion-baht vehicle lease contract of the Royal Thai Police Office (RTPO) which Pol Gen Pongsapat signed while he was deputy national police chief.

There is HEAPS of evidence showing UDD and Red Shirts burning Bangkok. There have been verdicts proving it.

The problem is, people like you won't look for it. There are videos on Youtube. There are thousands of photos. There are days of speeches of UDD leaders outlining their plans (which then came to fruition). If you had any intention of being impartial, you'd Google it. But you've already decided to cling to the ridiculous notion that someone else carried out UDD's plans for them.

bkksim # 8 - You are absolutely right. There is no conclusive evidence that Redshirt/UDD Did not burnt BKK. Therefore, at the moment, the use and/or referring it is scandalous and defamatory.

OldThaiHand #4 - I wrote yesterday that the game has just begun. There is still no conclusive evidence that Redshirt/UDD burnt BKK. The same tactic that the DEM used during GE did not help them to win more BKK seats. In fact, MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra said after the result that if it was not the BMA, the DEM would have had lost even more seats - you tell me what that meant. How about having a backdrop of AV killing peaceful demonstrators and draft dodging?
