Democrats slam pledged rice quality

MP shows parliament ‘rotten' grain from Surin

A Democrat MP Thursday sliced open a bag of the government's pledged rice in parliament in a bid to demonstrate shoddy quality control of the stored paddy.

Warong Dejkitvikrom, the MP for Phitsanulok, said the rice, retrieved from Surin, was brown and rotten.

His display in the House drew protests from government lawmakers.

"..Warong .. how he gained access to the government's warehouse.."

It probably wasn't from the govt warehouse.

Take a trip to Haiphong port in Vietnam and ask to buy several containers of Mitrphol sugar. You will be surprised they are selling at 10-20% below the price you can get from a Mitrphol trader here. Why? Because these are Vietnamese sugar stuffed in fake Mitrphol bags. Dirty traders in Africa mix good Indian rice and Ukrainian sorghum with bad ones as well and repack them at the port warehouses.

Warong may have just taken a bag and stuffed them with spoilt rice. Common dirty trick.

I also know how to make a bag of rice rotten, re-bag it, so I can slice to open it later to show how it works.

More and more people come start questioning and asking question on the reason Thai "living in denial"
living in a selfcreated fantasy and maintaining face and public composure will, hence Can not be sustained.
Apart from who is/said/done/proclaims what , it becomes obvious for foreign SME investors that Thailand could well be downgraded from A reliability partnership in business to B minus partner reliability in Business.
Reality is that a gang of thugs are lining up at airports and beaches as "welcomes commitie" from Thailand
ASEAN or not, neighboring countries are waiting in line to offer a different perspective!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an opened bag of Thai sticky rice in my closet. I've kept it there for nearly 2.5 years. It hasn't gone bad.

Mr. Warong wastes a sack of government rice to make his point.

Meanwhile PT wastes millions of sacks to score votes.

I think it's pretty clear who's right and who's wrong here.

"Mr Nattawut fired back at Mr Warong, asking how he gained access to the government's warehouse to take the sack of rice"
Is that the most important thing that came in his mind?
    Most probably.
