PM: Thaksin didn't visit Chiang Rai

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday denied as groundless a report that her fugitve brother Thaksin recently visited Chiang Rai in his personal jet, landing at Mae Fah Luang airport.

A government spokesman had earlier confirmed that the report was a baseless rumour, she said.

Ms Yingluck said she had no idea why the rumour was spread and asked the media to be careful and report only confirmed information, otherwise it would just spread confusion.

Thaksin's opponents believe that "lies told a hundred times might become true".

The fact that people get worked up over these sorts of rumour suggests a very high level of paranoia about Thaksin. Its a bit silly. Will we soon see headlines reading: "Thaksin did not visit Siam Paragon" or "Thaksin not seen in Soi Cowboy Go Go Bar Last Week". Talk about negative pregnants.

    Yingluck is not Thaksin's sister.
Thaksin is going to invade Thailand by speedboat from Cambodia.
Thaksin owns half of the land of Central Thailand, that's why the great flood arrived but nobody dare to tell the "truth", they're afraid.
Thaksin is currently dying of a cancer, he has only a few months to live ( in 2010).
Thaksin is not accepted anymore by Dubai authorities (2010 too).
We can continue for hours the list of "informations" given by the Thaksin obsessed since years. And when you see that they are the ones who always refer to the supposed "propaganda" of the "brainwashed" "PT/UDD terrorists" everything is said..

“Ms Yingluck said […] Police were duty bound to ensure people's safety“
Since when? Where was the police in 2010 when the red-shirts invaded Bangkok? Were all police officers prosecuted who did not ensure people's safety at that time? How many of them were disciplined or lost their job because they did not do their duty?

I would be willing to bet Thaksin has been in Thailand many times since he fled abroad .

What is the flight log for the jet that looks like Thaksin's?

  • Discussion 1 : 15 Feb 2013 at 14.391

So it's true then that Thaksin landed in Chiang Rai despite arrest warrents/pending criminal cases and the Shinawatra dynasty is threatening police district chiefs if they do not support the Peua Thaksin candidate.
