Dems call mass gathering

Party pulls out all stops to aid flailing candidate

The Democrat Party will launch a massive gathering of its political branches from all over Thailand at the Royal Plaza on Saturday to promote MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra as its candidate for Bangkok governor.

All the party's MPs, Bangkok and district councillors, provincial and tambon administrative organisation chiefs, mayors and supporters from around the country are expected to gather for the event.

Ong-art Klampaibul, who oversees the Democrats' campaign, said caravans broadcasting messages in support of MR Sukhumbhand will be sent out on the streets of Bangkok on that day.

Desperation sets in with the Democrat party. If they lose Bangkok which is their stronghold they may as well pack up their tent nationally.

"Meanwhile, Democrat MP for Songkhla Sirichok Sopha called on the election committee of Bangkok to look into violations of election law in social media"

There is so much electoral malfeasance happening. In this article it is fishing for PTP irregularities, but PTP's efforts will be dwarfed by those of the Democrat Party. They are professionals. I am hearing about Southern people being shipped to BKK come election day, factory owners threatening employees to vote for Sukh. or they lose their jobs. Workers who in turn lobby others in order to save their threatened jobs, etc., etc. Opinion Polls mean nothing come election day.

That's right. Clogging up traffic "will be instrumental in helping Bangkok's voters decide who to vote for."
