City Hall on defence over 'ghost voters'

Dead people listed on paper sent to Laksi home

City Hall officials have denied any wrongdoing after the discovery of "ghost voters" being included on the list of eligible voters sent to a household in Laksi district.

The response followed a complaint by a resident that six strangers' names had appeared on the registration list sent to her house.

City clerk Ninnart Chalitanon insisted there was no foul play involved in the mistake.

"Bangkok governor candidate Sukhumbhand Paribatra made an emotional appeal to voters yesterday."
