Ten more leading members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) have been indicted in the Criminal Court on terrorism and other charges in connection with the seizure of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports in 2008.
They are Gen Pathompong Kesornsuk, former adviser to the Royal Thai Armed Forces Command, Kasit Piromya, former foreign minister in the Democrat-led government, Tul Sithisomwong, leader of the multi-colour group, Therdsak Jiamkitwattana, chairman of Chiang Mai PAD, Pramote Nakhonthap, an independent academic, Ratree Chuanboon, ACM Therdsak Sajjarak, former deputy air force commander, Surapong Jayanam, a former ambassador, Narong Duding, a Democrat MP for Yala, and Anant Kanchanasuwan, chairman of the Anti-Corruption Network of Songkhla.
The charges include terrorism, illegal assembly of 10 people or more, use of force to cause a disturbance in the country.
After the indictment, they were each released on bail of 600,000 baht.
The court set April 29 for the first hearing.
Out of the 114 defendants in the case, a total of 93 have now been indicted in groups.
The others are expected to be indicted soon, before April 29.
