A man sporting a Spiderman outfit and a yellow whistle was spotted waving the national flag on Rama I Road in front of Royal Police head office on Monday.

Despite the police compound being the focus of the protest, Spiderman also attracted a fair amount of attention from demonstrators, who stopped to photograph him.

The whistle-blowing rally at police headquarters was engineered by former Democrat Party MP Phutthipong Punnakan. Protesters called on police to join their campaign against Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

They also urged national police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew to resign.
