Commission faces battle over ballots

SOUTH RE-ELECTION COULD BE HELD IN TWO MONTHS

- +

The Election Commission (EC) faces an uphill task to get ballot papers out of three post offices in the South in time for today's polling in the 14 southern provinces.

The post offices in Nakhon Si Thammarat's Thung Song district, Songkhla's Hat Yai district and Chumphon were still being blocked by PDRC protestors last night.

Election commissioner Somchai Srisutthiyakorn conceded it was unlikely that party-list voting would be held in the southern provinces today.
