Cops arrest ‘vote blocker’

Min Buri police have arrested a man who allegedly opposed advance voting on Jan 26 and blocked a polling station. 

Min Buri police station chief Col Kanchol Intraram yesterday sent a report to the Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Khamronwit Thoopkrachang saying Min Buri police had detained Thaworn Piromchit, the suspect, following an arrest warrant issued by Min Buri Provincial Court.

Mr Thaworn was charged with hindering the election and obstructing voters from entering a polling station. Police arrested him at Preecha Housing Estate 11, Soi Ram Intra 123 in Min Buri district of Bangkok.
