PDRC visits city electricity authority

Protesters get warm welcome at MEA

People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) protesters visited the office of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) on Wednesday, as part of their daily campaign for reforms, reports said.

The protesters, led by PDRC secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban and other core members including Issara Somchai, Witthaya Kaewparadai, Putthipong Punnakant, Chumpol Julasai, Sathit Wongnongtoey and Akanat Promphan, marched from the statue of King Rama 6 in front of Lumpini Park along Rama 4, Witthayu, Sarasin, Lang Suan and Chidlom roads.  

They arrived at the MEA office about 11.15am.

They were accompanied by members of the State Enterprises Labour Relations Confederation led by Somsak Kosaisuk and the Dharma Army led by Samdin Lertbut.

They were warmly welcomed by MEA staff led by Wirat Chansiriwattana, a deputy MEA governor, and other executives.

The PDRC leaders then held a meeting with MEA executives.
