NCPO calls in more red shirts

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) announced late Friday night for six people to report to the military Saturday morning. They comprise northern red shirt movement leaders and an academic critical of the monarchy.

Under the announcement released at about 10.30pm, the NCPO called in Miss Kanyapak Maneejak of a red shirt group in Chiang Mai, former Pheu Thai MP Prasit Wuthinanchai, Lt Col Somjit Chuadet, a red shirt leader in Uttaradit, Somchai Monkolsap, a red shirt leader in Mae Hong Son, Thanit Boonyanasineekasem, a red shirt leader in Chiang Rai, and Somsak Jeamteerasakul, a Thammasat University lecturer critical of the royal institution.

They are required to report to the NCPO at the Army Club in Bangkok's Thewes area from 10am to noon on Saturday.
