Prayuth unanimously voted PM

The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) on Thursday voted 191-0 with three abstentions to approve the nomination of Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha, chairman of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), for the post of prime minister. 

Altogether 194 of the existing 197 NLA members signed in to attend today's meeting to vote on the prime minister.

The meeting, chaired by NLA president Pornpetch Wichilcholachai, began about 10am at the parliament.
