Yingluck focuses on family, not politics

Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra said on Monday she was concentrating on taking care of her son instead of politics.

"I've put all energy in taking care of my son Nong Pipe (Supasek Amornchat), growing mushroom, reading books and writing. That's all,'' she said.

Ms Yingluck reiterated that her political future was uncertain, including a plan to run in future elections, because it was beyond her control.

The former prime minister said she considered shifting to social welfare if her political career ended.

Ms Yingluck has avoided talking to the media on politics after her government was toppled by the coup on May 22.
