Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will leave for Indonesia on April 21 for a summit between Asian and African leaders, government spokesman Yongyuth Mayalarp said.
The prime minister will attend the Asian-African Conference to foster ties between the two continents, he said.
That week's cabinet meeting — normally scheduled for Tuesday — will be brought forward to April 20.
The summit is scheduled for April 22-23 in Jakarta and an event to mark the 60th anniversary of the launch of the South-South cooperation will be held in Bandung on April 24.
The first Asian-African Conference was launched in Bandung in 1955 by 25 countries, including Thailand.
