Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has called a special cabinet meeting for Monday to discuss a proposal to amend the 2014 interim charter to allow a public referendum on the new charter draft, according to Matichon Online.
The meeting will be held at 1.30pm at Government House.
The proposed amendment is particularly intended to make way for the constitution draft to be put to the people after it is approved by the National Reform Council.
The cabinet will also consider economic issues in need of immediate attention.
