Most people agree to cabinet reshuffle: Poll

Most people agree that there should be a cabinet reshuffle now because many problems have been left unresolved, according to an opinion survey by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll.

The poll was conducted between Aug 12-15 on 1,146 people throughout the country after Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said in an interview that there would be a cabinet reshuffle involving all ministries.

Asked whether they agree that there should be a cabinet reshuffle, most or 64.1% of the respondents agreed, saying that some ministries were without clear work achievements while the people are sufferring from economic hardship; 23.94% were uncertain as they were not sure the situation would improve after the reshuffle; and 11.96% disagreed, saying it would only disrupt the country's administration.

Asked to mention three ministries they wanted to see the minister in charge changed, the respondents pointed to the Finance Ministry (83.11%), Commerce Ministry (80.28%) and Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry (72.15%).
