The majority of people are satisfied with the performance of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha at the 70th United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to a Suan Dusit Poll.

The poll was conducted between Sept 28 and Oct 3 on 1,125 people throughout the country to compile their opinions of Gen Prayut's role at the UNSG, particularly his meetings with world leaders and his speech to other countries designed to give them a better understanding of the situation in Thailand.

On the degree of satisfaction with Gen Prayut's role, 56.53% said they were fairly satisfied, 37.07% very satisfied, and 6.40% not satisfied.

In general, they hoped Thailand would have a better image in the eyes of other countries and win more recognition and were of the opinion that Gen Prayut was able to clearly explain the situation in the country to the world.

They believed Gen Prayut had established good relations with the leaders of other countries and his presence at the USGA would enhance the country's competitiveness.
