Four members of the Resistant Citizens group appeared before the Bangkok Military Court on Thursday to face charges of violating an order of the National Council for Peace and Order.

The four -- Pansak Srithep, Wannakiat Choosuwan, Anon Nampa and Siriwat Sereethiwat - held a political rally on Feb 14 in front of the Bangkok Art and Culture in Pathumwan to protest use of military courts to try civilians and to demand elections by 2016.

Prosecutors charged them with violating NCPO order No. 7 prohibiting a political gatherings.

They reported to the court on Thursday for the first hearing.
