New court to tackle fiscal trials

New court to tackle fiscal trials

The Administrative Court will open a new division from next month to deal directly with cases related to fiscal and budgeting disciplines in a bid to speed up trials.

Krairat Ngoyvijit, deputy chief of the Office of the Administrative Courts, said Piya Patangtha, deputy president of the Supreme Administrative Court, had endorsed the establishment of the new units at the Supreme Administrative Court and administrative courts nationwide.

Mr Krairat said the move would be a long-term boon for national administration as it would enable fiscal and budgetary disciplinary cases to proceed quickly and keep up with the economic damage already incurred.

The Administrative Court has distributed the proposal to concerned agencies to have the new division announced in the Royal Gazette, Mr Krairat added.
