Nattawut complains of army home surveillance

Nattawut Saikuar has asked police to give him records of surveillance on his house after complaining of being closely monitored by soldiers for about three months.

The co-leader of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship went to Muang police station in Nonthaburi province on Wednesday with pictures and a copy of the footage of closed circuit cameras showing soldiers around his place since September.

Mr Nattawut complained that soldiers in Jeeps went to the house every day and took pictures of activities inside before driving away.

The key red-shirt figure said he did not file a complaint to get police to take action against the soldiers as he was not threatened. But police should be informed about what is happening at his home as the political situation was appearing to heat up, he added.

Soldiers had told him that they were only carrying out duties as assigned by their superiors, he added.
