Draft charter available for download from 1.39pm

People interested in reading the new draft constitution, which has been finalised by the Constitution Drafting Committee led by Meechai Ruchupan, can download it from 1.39pm onwards on Tuesday, reports said.

A media conference was also being held from noon on the third floor of Parliament Building No 3.

At 1.39pm, Mr Meechai will meet members of the media to explain the gist of the new draft charter, which has 279 sections.

At the same time, the public can enter the website to download the draft charter in Thai language at the parliament website.

After Mr Meechai finishes with the press conference, the draft charter will be forwarded to the prime minister at Government House.

Copies will also be sent to agencies such as the National Council for Peace and Order, the Election Commission and the National Legislative Assembly.

On March 30, Mr Meechai will explain the main substances of the draft charter to members of the NLA, the National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) and heads of government agencies from 10.30-11.30am at the 2nd floor of Parliament Building No 1.
