Police arrested suspected drug gang members who police say were smuggling 21 kgs of heroin and 14kgs of ya ice from the North to the South.
Abdul Rorning Mayateng and Maming Hayeemadahae were arrested at Kiew Tapyang checkpoint, Mae Chan district, Chiang Rai after police found the drugs hidden under their car on August 29.
The suspects confessed that they were preparing to deliver the drugs to dealers in the deep and far south provinces, and then Songkla province.
