The World Junior Wrestling Campionships were held at the Eastern International Sports Pattaya on September 4 to 9 and World Beach Wrestling Championships 2012 at the Ambassador City on September 10 and 11. There were 56 countries represented with almost 1,000 athletes and officials participating in the event. A number of organizations sponsored the competition including Pattaya City Hall, the Thai Amateur Wrestling Association, Chonburi Sports Association and Chonburi Administrative Organization.
