PATTANI -- Two bombs exploded, in Panare and Mayo districts, early on Monday, causing damage but no casualties.
The first bomb went off about 6am at a public library in Panare district. The explosion damaged the building but did not inflict any casualties.
About 7.30am, the other detonated on the second floor of a new office of the Provincial Electricity Authority at Ban Tabae in tambon Langa of Mayo district.
Explosive ordnance disposal police despached to examine the two areas for any other bombs found nothing.
Overnight, there were two incidents around 11.30pm Sunday in Mayo district.
A power transformer at Baluka Tue-ngo village in tambon Lubo Yiri was shot at.
A car tyre was set onfire at a bridge near Ban Lako in tambon Mayo and a few gun shots were heard.
Nobody was hurt in the two minor incidents, which police said were obviously intended only to cause a disturbance.
