PATTANI - A ranger was wounded in a bomb explosion in Panare district on Monday morning.
Police said the incident occurred at 10.30am while a team of rangers from Rangers Task Force 42 was on foot patrol to provide security for teachers.
While the team was passing Bang Moo School in tambon Nam Bo, a home-made bomb placed in a roadside cottage in front of a rubber plantation was detonated.
A ranger, Thanakorn Suandaeng, was hit by shrapnel. He was admitted to Panare Hospital.
