Teacher slightly hurt in Pattani blast

PATTANI - A teacher was slightly injured when a roadside bomb went off on a road in Khok Pho district late on Friday.

The blast in tambon Makrud wounded local resident Sukkasem Muna, 33, a teacher at Banna Kor Nua School, while he was driving on Chonla Pratan-Ban Pho Road.

He suffered from ringing in the ears and was sent to Khok Pho Hospital. His pick-up truck was also damaged.

Police believe the blast was the work of insurgents in the area.
