CRES puts 464 places on 24-hour watch list

The Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation has resolved to tighten security in Bangkok by keeping 464 locations it has deemed to be potential targets of attack under 24-hour surveillance.

CRES officials met yesterday to discuss security measures in Bangkok following Tuesday's grenade attack on the state-run NBT, or Channel 11, television station.

The incident was the latest in a string of bomb and grenade attacks across the capital that have taken place despite the emergency decree being in effect.
