Brace for city attacks, PM warns

Army chief condemns planting of 3 bombs

The prime minister is warning the public to brace for more violence in the capital in the coming weeks.

Abhisit Vejjajiva's comments follow the condemnation yesterday by army commander Anupong Paojinda of the perpetrators of three bombs in Bangkok and Nonthaburi on Wednesday night.

The prime minister said the three unexploded bombs found in front of a school in Bangkok's Phaya Thai district, at The Mall Ngam Wong Wan and at the Public Health Ministry in Nonthaburi were intended to send a symbolic message.
