SOUTH
Residents of eight flood-hit southern provinces were warned yesterday to brace for another round of flash floods and landslides from today until Tuesday.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has put Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, Satun and Narathiwat on alert as more rain is expected.
According to the DDPM, further precipitation may trigger potentially destructive flash floods and landslides in areas already swamped by steady rainfall over the past several days.
