3 soldiers wounded in Yala

Three soldiers were wounded in a bomb explosion while on a foot patrol near a village in Yala's Than To district this morning, police reported.

The wounded soldiers were part of an eight-member patrol team from Yala Task Force 16.

As they were approaching Ban Mayo in tambon Than To along a road about 100 metres from Highway 410, an unknown number of militants hiding nearby detonated the home-made bomb with a mobile phone.

It is funny to hear the PM saying tourists are safe from possible professional terrorist bombers, when the government security forces after all these years still can't protect itself from a bunch of amateurs with bombs.
