Security at two airports raised

Airports of Thailand (AoT) raised the level of security at Suvarnabhumi and Chiang Mai international airports on Monday following reports of the terrorist threat in Bangkok.

Security had been increased from level two to level three at the two airports, while security at four other international airports -- Don Mueang, Phuket, Hat Yai and Chiang Rai – remained at level two, AoT president Aniruth Thanomkulabutr said.

More security staff would be deployed while checks on passengers, airport areas and luggage would be conducted more frequently and strictly.

Let's hope the PAD does not show up to rally again. The "security" will just melt away : (

No. 2 Who says it is after the threat is gone. While they have said everyone has left the country except the one guy the stopped but didn't arrest, they are circulating the picture of another guy. Yesterday they couldn't even be sure how many people were involved but they were sure they were all gone. Now they raise security. What a joke.

Say no more, this is really one of the biggest farces ever. If it was not funny it would be laughable. Airport security should be raised as soon as there is a terrorist threat not after.
As for more stringent security checks, the airports have shown that vip's can refuse a check and get away with it.
I do think now that the world is laughing at us big time.Maybe they will make a movie about this it will be very funny. Customs offical slaps security at airport, refuses to be searched. Then terrorist announcement.
Is this a script for a movie or what? Sack the lot of them.Get people in these posts who actually know what they are doing. This is so very very very bad for tourism.

I surely hope the director of passenger security will take his VIPs through the proper gate now
