4 killed, 4 wounded in Pattani

Four villagers were killed and four others injured when gunmen attacked a pick-up truck in Pattani's Nong Chik district on Sunday night.

Pol Col Chonvee Chamarerk, the Nong Chik police chief, said the attack on the pick-up truck happened about 10pm after an M79 grenade was shot at the operational base of a ranger unit at Ban Nam Kham in tambon Pulo Puyo in Nong Chik district.

    How many times do we have to read this same sad story. The baddies , used their standard routine once of poking the soldiers and running away. The soldiers, in Hollywood style give chase, get ambushed, some are killed and the baddies run away laughing. The police announce another investigation.

    We read of strategic plans for submarines however the combined intellect of the commanders seems totally clueless about how to stop losing a war inside their own territory.

    I think the Thai Army should withdraw and let the baddies declare their Islamic state. At least people can live it peace for a while.

    Alternatively , they could ask the Malaysians & British for advice but I guess pride wont allow that
